The Royal Highlanders basketball team (Simi Valley, CA), was defeated 47-39 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA)

The Cougars now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Canyon for a non-league contest on Monday, December 13. Ventura will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 59-44 non-league win over Ventura (Ventura, CA). The Cowboys record now stands at 4-0.

The Highlanders (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Stockdale ran past Newbury Park (Newbury Park, CA), 40-34, in a non-league contest.
