Georgia High School Basketball - Buford edges Gainesville
December 28, 2013: Gainesville, GA 30501 The Buford Wolves (Buford, GA) basketball nipped the host Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA), 33-31 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wolves (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels go into the 7-AAA test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Fannin County got by Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA), 56-39, in a non-league test.
The Red Elephants now own a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Loganville for a 8-AAAAA contest on Friday, January 3. Gainesville will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 38-25 non-league win over Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-2.
