Louisiana High School Baseball - Opelousas Catholic gets by Northlake Christian
March 3, 2012: Opelousas, LA 70570 Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA), 5-3 in a non-league test.
With the win, Opelousas Catholic upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Vikings host Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA) to battle the Trojans in a 1A District 6 test on Tuesday, March 6. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-3. Sacred Heart won 8-5 in their recent non-league test against Kaplan (Kaplan, LA)
With the defeat, Northlake Christian falls to 1-6 on the season. The Wolverines host Northshore (Slidell, LA) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 6. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 5-2.
