April 17, 2012: Elliston, VA 24087 The Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) baseball routed the host Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), 14-2 in Tuesday's league test.
With the win, Auburn upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Eagles host Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to battle the Buffaloes in a A Three Rivers test on Friday, April 20. The Buffaloes come into the test with a record of 7-4. Floyd County won 2-1 in their recent league test against Glenvar (Salem, VA)
With the defeat, Eastern Montgomery falls to 1-11 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Glenvar (Salem, VA) to battle the Highlanders in a A Three Rivers test on Tuesday, April 24. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 7-5.

Levi Bower went 3-4 with 3 runs and 2 RBI's and also pitched 4 innings of relief for the win in the Eagles 14-1 victory over Eastern Montgomery. Cody Akers went 1-3 for Auburn, scoring 2 runs, with an RBI, and 3 stolen bases. Freshman Normand Daigneault had a pinch hit double in his first Varsity AB.
