Illinois High School Basketball - Darnall thwarts Rock Falls
December 18, 2009: Geneseo, IL 61254 The Darnall Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) basketball felled the visiting Rock Falls Rockets (Rock Falls, IL), 55-45 in Friday's non-league test.
The Maple Leafs (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Davenport West (Davenport, IA). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Davenport West went down by Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 59-58, in a league test.
The Rockets now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Illinois Valley Central for a NCIC - Lincoln test on Tuesday, January 5. Rock Falls will meet a Grey Ghosts team coming off a 55-45 non-league win over Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Grey Ghosts record now stands at 6-3.
