The Montrose Christian basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Hayfield Hawks to 49 in the non-league triumph on Friday.

The now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yorktown for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 7.

The Hawks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Surrattsville (Clinton, MD). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Surrattsville was nudged by Dominion (Sterling, VA), 56-50, in a non-league contest.
