September 6, 2014: Jerseyville, IL 62052 The Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) football defeated the host Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL), 44-26 in Saturday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Braves face the Mascoutah Indians (Mascoutah, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 12. Mt. Zion will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 1-1 record after their 35-13 non-league loss to Effingham (Effingham, IL).
The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Salem (Salem, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Salem lost by Highland (Highland, IL), 55-7, in a non-league bout.
