Florida High School Volleyball - First Coast Christian Florida School for the Deaf
September 24, 2009: St. Augustine, FL 32084 The Florida School for the Deaf Dragons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting First Coast Christian Knights to 1 in the Dragons league victory on Thursday.
The Dragons now possess a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Peniel Baptist Academy for a non-league game on Monday, September 28. Florida School for the Deaf will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Warner Christian (South Daytona, FL). The Crusaders record now stands at 2-2.
The Knights (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Trinity Christian (Jacksonville, FL). The Conquerors enter the non-league game with a 8-8 record. In their last game, Trinity Christian defeated Morningside Academy (Port St. Lucie, FL), 3-0, in a non-league game.

The Varsity game was a repeat of the JV game. They were not on the top of their game tonight and had to struggle through their errors and find a way to win! The won the first game 25-17 and then lost the second game 15-25. They won the third and fourth games: 25-17 and 25-21.
Robin Spigner served for 10 points with 3 aces and had 10 assists and 2 kills. Lou Philostin served for 9 points with 1 ace and had 2 digs and 2 kills. Lakeisha McNair served for 8 points with 3 aces and had 1 Dragon Play and 11 kills. Farrah Selleck served for 6 points with 2 aces and had 9 assists and 6 kills. Camilla Crump served for 3 points and had 3 digs and 10 kills.
Our next game is Monday, September 28 at Peniel (Palatka-they play at Jenkins Middle School). JV plays at 5:00 and Varsity at 6:30. Please come out to support our girls!
