Utah High School Basketball - Bingham tops Lehi
February 5, 2013: South Jordan, UT 84095 Bingham Miners (South Jordan, UT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lehi Pioneers (Lehi, UT), 74-64 in a league bout.
With the victory, Bingham upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Miners travel to Riverton (Riverton, UT) to play the Silverwolves in a 5A Region 4 bout on Friday, February 8. The Silverwolves come into the bout with a record of 9-10. Riverton lost 42-40 in their recent league bout against American Fork (American Fork, UT)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Pleasant Grove Vikings (Pleasant Grove, UT) in a 5A Region 4 battle, on Friday, February 8. Lehi will attempt to improve on its 6-13 season record. The Vikings come into the battle with a 13-7 record after their 64-36 league loss to Lone Peak (Highland, UT).
First Quarter
Lehi once again got off to a slow start and got in a 8 point hole to end the first quarter. Bingham 17 and Lehi 9.
Second Quarter
Bingham outscored Lehi by 3 in the second quarter and take a 11 point lead to end the first half.
Third Quarter
Lehi cut the lead to 6 points to end the third quarter. The score at the end of three quarters is Bingham 44 and Lehi 38.
Fourth Quarter
There was a total of 56 points scored in the last quarter with Lehi getting 26 and Bingham 30. Bingham comes out with a 10 point win at home. The final is Bingham 74 and Lehi 64
