November 23, 2009: Strawberry Plains, TN 37871 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Carter Hornets (Strawberry Plains, TN) and the visiting Tennessee Vikings (Bristol, TN), saw Carter's basketball squad knock off Tennessee by a score of 61-41.
With the victory, Carter improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Springfield (Springfield, TN) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 28. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Springfield lost 67-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Fulton (Knoxville, TN)
Next up, the Vikings play the Claiborne Bulldogs (New Tazewell, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 27. Tennessee will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
