In Saturday's non-league contest, the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Sonoma Valley Dragons (Sonoma, CA), by a margin of 10-2.

With the triumph, Alameda moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Hornets host Maria Carrillo (Santa Rosa, CA) to play the Pumas in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 5. The Pumas come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Maria Carrillo lost 14-3 in their recent non-league contest against Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA)

In their next game, the Dragons play the San Rafael Bulldogs (San Rafael, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, March 8. Sonoma Valley will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA).
