Ohio High School Basketball - Washington nudges Hoover

In Monday's non-league outing, the Washington Tigers (Massillon, OH) basketball squad nipped the visiting Hoover Vikings (North Canton, OH), by a margin of 53-50.

The Tigers (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish go into the Freelance outing with a 9-4 record.

The Vikings now own a 5-11 record. They take the field next when they host GlenOak for a Federal outing on Saturday, January 31.

Jen McFadden made a 10-footer with 15 seconds remaining to give Massillon a 1-point lead, and Natalie Maier made two free throws with eight seconds left to help the Tigers rally past Hoover in high school girls basketball action.

Overtime
