The New Brighton Lions basketball team (New Brighton, PA), dropped 54-37 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA)

The Vikings now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Ambridge for a WPIAL AAA 2 battle on Tuesday, January 4. Hopewell will meet a Bridgers team coming off a 49-29 non-league loss to Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Bridgers record now stands at 0-7.
