Florida High School Baseball - Out-of-Door Academy edged by Eagle's View
March 30, 2012: Jacksonville, FL 32221 The Eagle's View Warriors got by the visiting Out-of-Door Academy Thunder baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort White for a non-league bout on Monday, April 2. Eagle's View will face a Indians team coming off a 10-0 league win over Interlachen (Interlachen, FL). The Indians record now stands at 11-9.
Next, the Thunder face the St. Albans Bulldogs (Washington, DC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 31. Out-of-Door Academy will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record.
Game Summary
On Friday 3/30/12 Eagle's View travelled to Ft. Lauderdale to play the Out of Door Academy from Sarasota. Ryan Robertson started on the hill for the Warriors. Ryan breezed thru the first 3 innings, getting 3 groundball outs, 3 strikeouts, and picking off a runner as well. In the 4th. Out of Door got back-to-back doubles to score the game's first run. Thru 5 innings of play the Warriors had a hard hit singles by Adams and Jones as their only hits and the score stood 0-1. That would change in the top of the 6th. Leading off, Knight was hit by a pitch. After a very controversial batter's interference call, Johnson singled to right. McNeil singled to left driving in Casey and Tre' moving to third. As Nick was caught in a rundown, Tre' scored from third giving EVA a 2-1 lead. OoD tied it at 2 in the 6th. In the 7th. Adams reached on error & went to 3rd. on a fielder's choice & a ground out. Casey drove in the go ahead run with a single. Matt Carter pitched the 7th. striking out the side.
