The Chase Trojans basketball team (Forest City, NC), was overwhelmed 77-39 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC)

The Chargers now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kings Mountain for a 2A/3A Conference 4 battle on Friday, January 30. Crest will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 55-43 league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 13-6.

The Trojans (3-16) will now prepare for their battle against Rutherfordton-Spindale Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers come into the 2A/3A Conference 4 battle with a 8-9 record.
