Michigan High School Baseball - Roosevelt loses to Anderson
May 22, 2013: Wyandotte, MI 48192 The Anderson Titans the host Roosevelt Bears baseball team by a count of 8-4 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Titans now possess a 20-9 record. They take the field next when they host Western International for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 28.
Coming up next, the Bears play the Stoney Creek Cougars (Rochester Hills, MI) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 25. Roosevelt will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record.
Game Summary
The Titans finally managed to grab the lead after a strong second inning. They went up for good on an RBI single by Tyler Hall off Osokie, scoring Paul Sullivan.
Sullivan got on base three times in the game for Southgate. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Greg Galetto got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over six innings. Galetto struck out five, walked four and gave up seven hits.
The Titans brought home two runs in the fourth inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the fourth, Anderson scored on an RBI single by Jonah Peryam, scoring Sullivan.
The Southgate Anderson Titans added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Gabe Becker kicked things off with a single, plating Kyle Riddle.
