Nevada High School Basketball - Quest Preparatory nips San Bernardino
December 19, 2014: Las Vegas, NV 89130 Quest Preparatory Knights (Las Vegas, NV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting San Bernardino Cardinals (San Bernardino, CA), 76-69 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Quest Preparatory upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Mars (Mars, PA) to play the Fightin' Planets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 20. The Fightin' Planets come into the bout with a record of 7-1. Mars won 65-35 in their recent non-league bout against Muir (Pasadena, CA)
Next up, the Cardinals play the Muir Mustangs (Pasadena, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 20. San Bernardino will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 65-35 non-league loss to Mars (Mars, PA).
Game Summary
Quest Academy 76, San Bernardino (Calif.) 69 — At Faith Lutheran, Chris Hawkins hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation and was 5-for-6 from the free-throw line in overtime to power the Knights by the Cardinals.
Hawkins finished with 21 points, five assists and four steals for the Knights, who overcame an 11-point deficit with three minutes to go in regulation.
La’Quan Hawkins had 19 points, and David Vasquez added 15 points and seven rebounds for Quest Academy.
Deion Lee had 20 points, and Tymoryae Glover notched 16 points for San Bernardino.
