St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots (Alameda, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA), 54-37 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Joseph Notre Dame upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Pilots host Drake (San Anselmo, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 15. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Drake lost 66-60 in their recent league bout against San Rafael (San Rafael, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Albany Cougars (Albany, CA) in a Bay Shore bout, on Wednesday, January 19. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 63-50 league win over Kennedy (Richmond, CA).
