The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ) and the visiting Union Farmers (Union, NJ), observed Hunterdon Central's football squad thwart Union by a tally of 31-21.

The Red Devils now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin for a Mid-State 38 - Delaware contest on Friday, October 17. Hunterdon Central will play a Warriors squad coming off a 43-20 league loss to Watchung Hills Regional (Warren, NJ). The Warriors record now stands at 0-5.

Coming up next, the Farmers play the Hillsborough Raiders (Hillsborough, NJ) in a Mid-State 38 - Delaware contest, on Friday, October 17. Union will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Raiders go into the contest with a 5-0 record after their 14-13 league win over Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, NJ).
