Florida High School Lacrosse - Winter Springs held off by Oviedo
March 3, 2010: Winter Springs, FL 32708 Oviedo Lions (Oviedo, FL) boosters exited the stadium content Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse team nip the host Winter Springs Bears (Winter Springs, FL), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Ridge for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 11. Oviedo will meet a Knight team coming off a 17-6 non-league loss to Freedom (Orlando, FL). The Knight record now stands at 3-5.
In their next game, the Bears meet the Matanzas (Palm Coast, FL) in a District 4 challenge, on Friday, March 5. Winter Springs will attempt to advance on its 1-6 season record. The come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Ponte Vedra (Ponte Vedra, FL).
