In Friday's non-league game, the host St. Mary Tigers baseball team scored a tight 8-3 victory over the Negreet Indians.

The Tigers (9-6) will now prepare for their contest against Block (Jonesville, LA). The Bears enter the 1A District 3 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Block was overwhelmed by Monterey (Monterey, LA), 10-0, in a non-league contest.

The Indians now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Many for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 22. Negreet will play a Tigers squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-8.
