Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Byhalia Indians (Byhalia, MS) and the visiting Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), saw Byhalia's basketball squad knock off Independence by a score of 55-46.

With the victory, Byhalia improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Indians travel to North Panola (Sardis, MS) to battle the Cougars in a 3A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 20. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. North Panola won 49-42 in their recent league challenge against Senatobia (Senatobia, MS)

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 20. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 21-0 record after their 92-33 non-league win over Sheffield (Memphis, TN).
