Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Northern Nash Knights (Rocky Mount, NC), 59-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Rocky Mount upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Gryphons host Nash Central (Nashville, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Big East bout on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Nash Central won 52-49 in their recent league bout against Southern Nash (Bailey, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) in a 3A Big East bout, on Friday, January 27. Northern Nash will attempt to upgrade on its 15-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 75-46 non-league loss to Green Hope (Cary, NC).
