New York High School Football - Long Island Lutheran routed by Rye Country Day
September 26, 2009: Brookville, NY 11545 In Saturday's non-league game, the Rye Country Day Wildcats (Rye, NY) football team smashed the host Long Island Lutheran Crusaders (Brookville, NY), by a score of 41-6.
The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their game against St. Luke's (New Canaan, CT). The come into the Fairchester game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, St. Luke's was ripped by Hopkins (New Haven, CT), 33-14, in a league game.
The Crusaders now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they host Moore Catholic for a non-league game on Saturday, October 3. Long Island Lutheran will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Pawling (Pawling, NY). The Mavericks record now stands at 3-0.
