Missouri High School Basketball - Sweet Springs ripped by Wellington-Napoleon
February 7, 2011: Wellington, MO 64097 The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Sweet Springs Greyhounds to 27 in the Tigers league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Santa Fe for a I-70 contest on Tuesday, February 8.
The Greyhounds (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Leeton (Leeton, MO). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Leeton trounced Chilhowee (Chilhowee, MO), 42-21, in a league contest.
Game Summary
We came out really strong on defense and got some easy buckets to start the game. Our bench played great tonight. We have some long weeks ahead of us so it was nice to save everyones legs a little bit. We had 13 assists on 20 buckets so we did a really good job of sharing the basketball.
