North Carolina High School Basketball - Green Hope can't hold off Apex

December 14, 2012: Apex, NC 27502

The Apex Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the visiting Green Hope Falcons to 48 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Athens Drive for a 4A Tri-Nine contest on Tuesday, December 18. Apex will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 71-38 league loss to Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-8.

The Falcons (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Fuquay-Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bengals come into the 4A Tri-Nine contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Fuquay-Varina was nudged by Panther Creek (Cary, NC), 70-49, in a league contest.
