The Red Mountain Mountain Lions (Mesa, AZ) basketball nipped the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ), 55-54 in Friday's league test.

The Mountain Lions (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Hoover (San Diego, CA). The Cardinals go into the non-league test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Hoover got by San Ysidro (San Diego, CA), 56-53, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Maryvale for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 8.
