Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Woodcreek Timberwolves (Roseville, CA), 75-68 in a league bout.

With the win, Nevada Union upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Miners host Rocklin (Rocklin, CA) to encounter the Thunder in a Sierra Foothill bout on Tuesday, January 15. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 13-5. Rocklin won 63-44 in their recent league bout against Del Oro (Loomis, CA)

Next up, the Timberwolves encounter the Roseville Tigers (Roseville, CA) in a Sierra Foothill challenge, on Tuesday, January 15. Woodcreek will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 72-50 league loss to Granite Bay (Granite Bay, CA).
