Florida High School Football - East Ridge topples Merritt Island
September 16, 2011: Merritt Island, FL 32953 The East Ridge Knight (Clermont, FL) football defeated the host Merritt Island Mustangs (Merritt Island, FL), 28-20 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Knight face the Leesburg Yellowjackets (Leesburg, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 23. East Ridge will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 35-14 non-league win over Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL).
The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Titusville (Titusville, FL). The Terriers enter the 5A District 13 battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Titusville beat Heritage (Palm Bay, FL), 21-14, in a non-league battle.
