The Mars Fightin' Planets (Mars, PA) football routed the visiting Hampton Talbots (Allison Park, PA), 42-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Fightin' Planets face the Indiana Little Indians (Indiana, PA) in a WPIAL AAA Greater Allegheny bout, on Friday, October 17. Mars will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Little Indians enter the bout with a 6-2 record after their 34-20 league win over Knoch (Saxonburg, PA).

The Talbots (1-7) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA). The Panthers enter the WPIAL AAA Greater Allegheny bout with a 4-3 record. In their last bout, Franklin Regional was overwhelmed by Highlands (Natrona Heights, PA), 10-7, in a league bout.
