Eastside Lions (Lancaster, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), 62-51 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastside upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Royal (Simi Valley, CA) to battle the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 9. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Royal lost 85-45 in their recent non-league challenge against University (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys battle the Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 10. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Parrots come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Antelope Valley (Lancaster, CA).
