Texas High School Basketball - Fort Bend Christian Academy trounces Girls & Boys Prep
November 5, 2011: Sugar Land, TX 77478 The Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles (Sugar Land, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Girls & Boys Prep (Houston, TX), 68-15 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Logos Prep Academy (Sugar Land, TX). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The now own a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Bend Christian Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, November 17.
First Quarter
Behind six points and a solid effort from senior forward Maggie Mantel, the Lady Eagles of Fort Bend Christian Academy jumped out to an early lead. Senior guard Clara Pardue had five points inn the quarter, including one three point bucket.
Second Quarter
The second quarter saw the lead grow, as the Eagles went into the locker room at the half, up by 29.
Third Quarter
It was a flat third quarter, with the Eagles having their lowest scoring quarter of the night.
Fourth Quarter
The bench really contributed in the 4th quarter. With the starters out, it gave the bench a chance to shines. Sarah Amend had nine of her 11 points in the fourth quarter. Amend and Bailey Wood would lead the team with 11 points each. Wood recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds. Freshman guard Julia Tape had six points and 10 steals.
