December 18, 2014: Central Point, OR 97502 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Phoenix Pirates (Phoenix, OR), by a margin of 59-25.
The Comets (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR). The Eagles go into the non-league outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Santiam Christian smashed St. Mary's (Medford, OR), 57-42, in a non-league outing.
The Pirates now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cascade Christian for a non-league outing on Friday, December 19. Phoenix will clash with a Challengers squad coming off a 45-36 non-league win over Mazama (Klamath Falls, OR). The Challengers record now stands at 4-1.
