New Jersey High School Basketball - Mainland Regional edges Middle Township
February 27, 2014: Linwood, NJ 08221 The Mainland Regional Mustangs (Linwood, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Middle Township Panthers (Cape May Court House, NJ), 54-49 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Woodrow Wilson (Camden, NJ). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 3-19 record. In their last test, Woodrow Wilson was tipped by Camden (Camden, NJ), 91-50, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 11-13 record. They play next when they host Haddon Heights for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. Middle Township will encounter a Garnets squad coming off a 42-39 non-league loss to Collingswood (Collingswood, NJ). The Garnets record now stands at 13-12.

Middle goes down by 3, 12-9! Four players get Middles 9 points!

Middle draws a tie with the Mustangs, 14-14! Feraco gets 2 three's and Bland gets 3 the old-fashioned way! 26-23 @ the half.
Third Quarter
Middle gets one point closer, 36-34 going into the 4th. Greer gets five in the qtr. and Middle hasn't turned the ball over yet!
Fourth Quarter
Middle gets it to 48-47, as the this poorly officiated game continued on the ensuing play, as the refs hand Mainland a 2 1, after a travel by the passer! The BIGs for Mainland were about to plant themselves in the lane and EVERY close call went to the team in white jerseys. Fouls 17-2, Middle ~ Ridiculous!
