California High School Baseball - Point Loma defeats Mira Mesa
April 4, 2009: San Diego, CA 92126 The Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) baseball trounced the host Mira Mesa Marauders (San Diego, CA), 13-5 in Saturday's non-league contest.

Game Summary
The Pointers squared off against Mira Mesa in the semi finals of the City Tournament. Zac Hile pitched 2 innings for the Pointers. There was lots of action for both teams but Zac turned over the pitching duties to Kevin Hilton with a 9 to 5 lead. Hilton pitched the next 5 innings surrendering only 5 hits and no runs while the Pointers continued to add to their score going through 5 Mira Mesa pitchers in route to a 13 to 5 win. All 9 Pointers in the line up contributed with at least one hit on the day and 6 Pointers, Hilton, Cox, Stepina, Skarbic, Bruhn and dela Garza, each had a multi hit game earning a trip to the championship game vs. Scripps Ranch.
