Illinois High School Football - Proviso West trounced by Lyons
September 23, 2005: LaGrange, IL Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) fans were pleased Friday as they witnessed their football team trounce the visiting Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), 38-6 in a league game.
The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Leyden was trounced by Willowbrook (Franklin Park, IL), 8-3, in a league game.
With the loss, Proviso West falls to 2-3 on the season. The Panthers host Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL) to meet the Huskies in a West Suburban Silver game on Saturday, October 1. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 3-2. Oak Park-River Forest won 18-0 in their recent non-league game against Morton (Morton, IL)
