The Corona del Sol Aztecs basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Desert Vista Thunder to 62 in the Aztecs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Aztecs now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chandler for a I Section II contest on Thursday, January 10. Corona del Sol will meet a Wolves team coming off a 63-57 league win over Perry (Gilbert, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 9-9.

The Thunder (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ). The Padres enter the I Section III contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Marcos de Niza nudged Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ), 77-56, in a non-league contest.
