The DeSoto Eagles (De Soto, TX) basketball felled the visiting South Grand Prairie Warriors (Grand Prairie, TX), 61-52 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (14-1) will now prepare for their test against Kinston (Kinston, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 9-0 record. In their last test, Kinston defeated North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC), 91-59, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 15-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cedar Hill for a 5A Region I District 7 test on Friday, January 4.
