Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - Bishop Guilfoyle nudged by Penn Cambria
October 9, 2012: Altoona, PA 16602 The Penn Cambria Panthers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders to 2 in the Panthers league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now possess a 16-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Forest Hills for a Laurel Highlands 1 game on Thursday, October 11. Penn Cambria will meet a Rangers team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Cambria Heights (Patton, PA). The Rangers record now stands at 3-9.
The Marauders (10-3) will now prepare for their game against Bishop Carroll (Ebensburg, PA). The Huskies enter the Laurel Highlands 1 game with a 10-3 record. In their last game, Bishop Carroll nipped Central Cambria (Ebensburg, PA), 3-0, in a league game.

The BG girls’ volleyball suffered a five-set loss to undefeated Penn Cambria. BG’s record stands at 10-3.
The JV team improved to 12-1 with a sweep of Penn Cambria. Annie Dombrowski led BG with 16 kills and 19 digs while Logan McIntosh added 19 service points and 22 digs. BG’s other leaders were Rachel Potopa with 32 assists and 10 points, Lindsie Welteroth with 15 digs, Jennifer Patterson with 10 kills and Brynee Baughman with 14 digs.
