October 21, 2011: West Monroe, LA 71291 In Friday's league match, the host West Monroe Rebels football squad scored a good 38-21 victory over the Ruston Bearcats.
In their next game, the Rebels clash with the Cocoa Tigers (Cocoa, FL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 29. West Monroe will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 28-7 league win over Jones (Orlando, FL).
The Bearcats (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA). The Chiefs come into the 5A District 2 test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Natchitoches Central was defeated by Ouachita Parish (Monroe, LA), 28-16, in a league test.
