Veritas Academy (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting San Juan Diego Catholic Saints (Austin, TX), 59-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Veritas Academy upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The host First Baptist Academy (Universal City, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-2. First Baptist Academy won 37-31 in their recent non-league bout against Knippa (Knippa, TX)

Next up, the Saints play the San Marcos Academy Bears (San Marcos, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 6 bout, on Friday, December 16. San Juan Diego Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 60-36 non-league win over Hill Country Christian (Austin, TX).
