Mt. Shasta Bears (Mt. Shasta, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Weed Cougars (Weed, CA), 32-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Shasta upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Bears host Anderson (Anderson, CA) to encounter the Cubs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Anderson lost 43-26 in their recent non-league bout against Shasta (Redding, CA)

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Redding Christian Lions (Redding, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 9. Weed will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 40-23 non-league win over Sacramento Country Day (Sacramento, CA).
