Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the George Ranch (Richmond, TX) and the visiting Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), saw George Ranch's basketball squad knock off Wharton by a score of 61-47.

With the victory, George Ranch improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The host El Campo (El Campo, TX) to battle the Ricebirds in a 4A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Ricebirds come into the challenge with a record of 6-8.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles (Sugar Land, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Wharton will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
