Oklahoma High School Football - Putnam City North can't hold off Lawton
October 6, 2006: Lawton, OK 73507 Lawton Wolverines (Lawton, OK) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad get by the visiting Putnam City North Panthers (Oklahoma City, OK), 22-20 in a league challenge.
The Wolverines now hold a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Fe for a 6A District 1 challenge on Thursday, October 12. Lawton will clash with a Wolves squad coming off a 14-7 league win over Putnam City West (Oklahoma City, OK). The Wolves record now stands at 4-2.
With the defeat, Putnam City North moves to 1-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Moore (Oklahoma City, OK) to clash with the Lions in a 6A District 1 challenge on Friday, October 13. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Moore lost 61-51 in their recent league challenge against Mustang (Mustang, OK)
