Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), 40-29 in a league test.

With the triumph, Western Branch improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bruins host Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, October 10. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 3-2. Great Bridge won 28-7 in their recent league test against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)

With the loss, Grassfield drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA) to meet the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Friday, October 10. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. Deep Creek lost 55-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA)
