Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Nimitz Cougars (Houston, TX) and the host MacArthur Generals (Houston, TX), saw Nimitz's basketball team gain a win over MacArthur by a tally of 66-50.

The Cougars now sport a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Alief Elsik for a 5A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Nimitz will meet a Rams team coming off a 70-59 non-league win over Cy-Woods (Cypress, TX). The Rams record now stands at 10-11.

The Generals (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers come into the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Sterling beat Anahuac (Anahuac, TX), 72-25, in a non-league contest.
