Maryland High School Basketball - McDonogh nudges Chavez
December 8, 2011: Owings Mills, MD 21117 McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Chavez (Washington, DC), 60-55 in a non-league bout.
With the win, McDonogh upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Eagles host St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD) to encounter the Panthers in a MIAA A bout on Friday, December 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. St. Frances Academy won 92-45 in their recent league bout against Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Baltimore, MD)
Next up, the encounter the Eastern Ramblers (Washington, DC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Chavez will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Ramblers go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 66-13 non-league loss to Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD).
