Maine High School Basketball - Wells holds off Traip
February 6, 2012: Kittery, ME 03904 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) and the host Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME), saw Wells's basketball squad hold off Traip by a score of 42-37.
With the victory, Wells improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host York (York, ME) to play the Wildcats in a B West challenge on Friday, February 10. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-5. York lost 33-32 in their recent league test against Falmouth (Falmouth, ME)
The Rangers now own a 9-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Yarmouth Academy for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. Traip will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 45-31 non-league loss to Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 9-8.
