October 31, 2014: Siler City, NC 27344 The Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC) football defeated the visiting Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC), 28-20 in Friday's league game.
The Jets (3-7) will now prepare for their game against Cummings (Burlington, NC). The Cavaliers come into the 2A Mid-State game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Cummings was knocked off by Reidsville (Reidsville, NC), 48-3, in a league game.
The Buccaneers now sport a 0-10 record. They take the field next when they host Graham for a 2A Mid-State game on Friday, November 7. Bartlett Yancey will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 14-6 league win over Carrboro (Carrboro, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-5.
