Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT), 56-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Danbury upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Hatters host Norwalk (Norwalk, CT) to play the Bears in a Fairfield County bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Norwalk won 66-23 in their recent league bout against Bassick (Bridgeport, CT)

Next up, the Green Wave play the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) in a Southwest - Colonial bout, on Tuesday, January 4. New Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Nighthawks go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 43-40 league win over Barlow (Redding, CT).
